If you ever needed to make presentations using HyperCard stacks reed further.
Every HC scripter knows how to make a presentation using HC. Question is how much time do you want to spend doing it.
StackTour greatly simplifies the task of making a HyperCard tour from different stacks.
How to make a tour:
1 - Open StackTour
2 - Press record button and select the first card of your
tour
3 - With the selected stack you will get a palette with two
buttons, one to add a card to your tour other to exit
the tour.
4 - Navigate trough your stacks, clicking the add tour
button every time you wish to incorporate a card in
your tour(you’ll ear a sound).
5 - When you are done click the Exit tour button of the
palette (You’ll ear another sound) and you are back on
StackTour. You will notice a field containing the
references to the stacks and cards you added.
How to use a tour:
1 - If you select a field line you’ll go to stack and card
it references
2 - If you wish to check your tour press the play button.
Each time you press the mouse you will advance to the
next card of your tour “a la Power Point”
3 - If you want a more permanent way to store your tour
click the store button and you’ll have a button
containing your tour that you can copy paste to another
stack if you like.
Known bug - Sometimes, I don’t know exactly why, the opened stack removes “StackTour” from the “stacks in use” and you’ll get a palette that doesn’t do nothing, but most of the times it works OK. Let me know if you find how this happens.
This stack is absolutely free although I will much appreciate to know if anyone have use it with success.
Of course suggestions or bugs are also welcome.
There are a few other details but I think is more fun if you discovered them yourself.
